I decided on the Electrolux washer and dryer over other brands due to it's positive reviews, industry ratings and reputation. Additionally, I liked the appearance, the color and some of the options/settings available without being completely overwhelming with so many that I would never use. After a few weeks of use, I am very satisfied with them so far. I would recommend the brand to others.

Electrolux Dryer ELFE7637AT - Noisy Dryer

We recently replaced a six year old Electrolux dryer with this one and are not terribly impressed. The new dryer doesn't dry as well, and it makes a constant low level rumbling whenever it is running. It's noticeably louder than the prior generation dryer we had and the sound it makes is the sound our older dryer made when the blower was starting to fail. Our vendor even traded out the first dryer for a second one to try to address the rumbling sound, but it seems like it's just a characteristic of the dryer.

Faulty Lint Trap

Do not buy! The clean lint light has been on since I purchased the item. I've had professionals come out to take the machine apart and clean it. But without fail after a couple of months the dryer starts to whistle and make loud noises, apparently due to a build up of lint in some inaccessible roller, despite cleaning the actual lint catcher after every load. Ridiculous. Stay far away.

Replaced our 15 year old set with the 600 Series. They are absolutely fantastic and will continue to buy Electrolux in the distant future. The only thing that I wish could be changed is, when your wash/drying is done the machine will stop running but not turn off so the chime keeps going off until you turn the power off. Otherwise these are the best washer and dryers. Even convinced my parents to get a set after they tried ours.

Decided on the Electrolux brand not only for the features but the construction. It not only looks good but appears to be solidly built. Dryer has a large double sided lint catch that is easy to clean. I also love the light so you can easily see everything in the drum and not miss those smaller items.

They take your money and only send part of your order making you wait weeks for the dryer.They had plenty of time to inform me that the dryer was on back order before delivering the washer, so I could have canceled and purchased from a different manufacturer. Works great for routine drying and gets everything completely dry on the ™€˜normal™€™ setting, even heavy fabric like jeans. Have not tested the advertised ability to dry a king sized comforter yet but one of the reasons why we picked this unit is because it is 8 Cu ft as opposed to 7.4 like a lot of the competitors.The only thing that I don™€™t like so far is the ™€˜Instant Refresh™€™ cycle. It works ok for light items like a dress shirt but struggles to remove wrinkles from heavier fabric. It is a very cycle, only 10 minutes, and I wish you could adjust it to run longer for heavier fabrics or items with more wrinkles. Also for some bizarre reason you can™€™t use the wrinkle prevention or extended tumble option with this cycle so if you can™€™t take stuff out immediately, it just gets wrinkles again. There are some other similar program limitations that also don™€™t seem to make sense. For example you can™€™t use the steam function if you use the manual timed dry setting, it only works on the automatic cycles. Why?Overall it seems like a pretty good unit, but we™€™ve only had it for a couple weeks, so hopefully it will be as reliable as our last set that lasted 13 years.

I was looking forward to this new washer, dryer combo and the washer seems to be on point. I wish it had an extra rinse cycle. The dryer takes over 60 Minutes on high heat for a sheet and then all it does is roll it into a ball. I have to shake it out put it back in for longer.

We™€™ve had this dryer for a few weeks now and thus far, we™€™re very happy with it. It™€™s quiet and very efficient. The sensors actually work! I™€™ve had two previous dryers with sensors that never worked right. Of course those were different brands. My favorite factor is the lack of needing an app to use these appliances. Our last GE model had a ton of features but most of them were only accessible through an app. This is straight forward and simple - just like a dryer should be. I don™€™t need or want another app. I will never run my dryer when I™€™m not home because that™€™s a fire hazard. If I had one complaint; the ™€œdry time™€ should offer a shorter cycle. There™€™s a ™€œ15 minute fast dry™€ setting but that only runs on ™€œhigh™€. The minimum dry time setting is 30 minutes. Sometimes you need less time at a lower setting and that isn™€™t an option with a ™€œtimed™€ dry. It™€™s certainly not a deal breaker but I™€™m running the dryer longer than need be in some rare cases. We purchased this particular dryer (washer) because of a video on YouTube that rated them very high. I also read that parts were far easier to come by than the top LG rated model. I™€™d hard pass on that brand regardless but the people that work on Electrolux say it is superior. We also considered Speed Queen but the reviews were so love/hate that it didn™€™t seem safe. We always buy the extended warranty because they are 100% worth it, regardless of the brand.

This dryer has been a disaster. Bought it in March. It soon became so loud we called for service in August. They replaced the wheels and belt. It™€™s even louder and now leaking water. They came back again today. They will replace the blower but can™€™t figure out where the water is coming from. I™€™ve asked for them to replace my dryer, but they insist on fixing it over and over. It has to be the worst dryer I™€™ve ever owned. I™€™ve had a Maytag and LG and never had these issues. Customer service just keeps ending service out. Do yourself a favor and stay away!! Dryer & customer service are the worst.

Bought it to match my 600 series washer which I purchased a year ago and have been very happy with. Originally had the dryer delivered without the pedestal because I didn't need the below storage space, but regretted it when I did. The pedestal obviously makes it level with the washer and much easier to transfer clothing, so had one delivered and worth the extra cost. Didn't know when purchasing that it came with a steam feature, but excited to try. This dryer has a lot of features so it takes a little study and getting use to the different drying modes, but happy to have the choices. Clothing so far has been dried to perfection and not beat up. If you're looking for a well made quality washer/dryer combo this is the brand to get.

My recent purchase of a washer and dryer is a winner. My old washing machine failed and we spent needless dollars trying to get it fixed. My new appliances are exceptional in terms of cleaning and drying. I have yet to figure out all of the features--e.g. steam function. Dries clothes on the first run and the steam function is amazing to keep clothes that typically come out wrinkled looking like they came from the dry cleaners.
